Explain TWO different religious practices Muslims perform during Hajj. [4 marks]

On Hajj, many Muslims observe tawaf, walking around the Ka’bah seven times in an anti-clockwise direction.

This reminds them of the angels who constantly circle the Throne of Allah, and how they should obey Allah as completely as the angels do.

Many Muslims also observe sa’i, running between two hills (Safa and Marwah) seven times.

This reminds them of Hajar’s attempts to find water for her son, and that Allah will provide for them as He provided for her.
