Many Muslims believe that a person’s every action is recorded by angels.
The Qur’an states, ‘And yet truly over you there are guardians, noble, writing, knowing what you do’ (82. 10–12).
This can cause Muslims to be careful about how they live, because they know that their bad deeds will be witnessed.
Some Muslims believe that angels protect people from harm.
The Qur’an says ‘Over every soul there is a guardian’ (86. 4).
