• The argue that the Creation story in Genesis is just a metaphor: it teaches us WHY humans were created, but not HOW they were created.

• Many Conservative Christians (e.g. Southern Baptists) believe that humans are a ‘special creation’ of God.

• They argue that the Creation story in Genesis is the work of the omniscient (all-knowing) God, and therefore more trustworthy than scientific accounts of human origins.
